Kenya Introduction

This GEAVET Climate-Smart Agriculture (CSA) training programme provides Kenyan VET learners, smallholder farmers, and agricultural advisors with practical, hands-on knowledge and skills for improving productivity and resilience in the face of climate change. The programme integrates feed management, water quality management, drip irrigation, soil testing, climate data use, and seasonal forecasting. These competencies help learners make informed farm decisions, strengthen drought preparedness, reduce production risks, and adopt low-cost innovations suited to Kenyan farming systems. The training uses blended learning—problem-based learning, demonstrations, digital tools, field exercises, and community reflection—to ensure learners gain both technical ability and real-world application.

This module is designed for easy, self-paced learning. Each section includes reading materials presented on the page and, where relevant, videos, activities, case studies, and reflection questions to support practical understanding. Users may follow the module step by step or move directly to the sections most relevant to their needs, interests, and stage of learning.
